SUMMERY COCKTAILS TO MAKE AT HOME | FEATURE
One thing we’re missing while stuck at home are all the great bars and pubs of Wales. But don’t worry – here are some easy cocktail and mocktail recipes that you can serve up in your own kitchen.
FRUITY BEAUTY
Ingredients:
2 red apples
1 mango
2 passion fruits
45 ml vodka
15 ml triple sec
Ice cubes
Method:
Juice the apples and mangos and pour the juice into a cocktail shaker. Juice the passion fruit, but push the juice through a sieve to remove the seeds. Add the passion fruit juice to the cocktail shaker.
Measure out 45 ml of vodka and 15 ml of triple sec and add it to the cocktail shaker with a couple of ice cubes. Shake the liquid until the cocktail shaker starts to turn cold.
Pour your cocktail into glasses and decorate with apple slices, if you like.
ICED TROPICAL TWIST
Ingredients:
1 kiwi
Pineapple chunks
60 ml coconut water
40 ml Malibu
Ice cubes
Method:
Place the kiwi and pineapple chunks into a blender until it looks like a puree. Add 60 ml of coconut water to the mix and put the puree back into a blender.
Add ice cubes and 40 ml of Malibu and blend again. Once that is complete divide your cocktail into glasses and serve.
WONDERBERRY
Ingredients:
Handful of strawberries, raspberries, cranberries
15 ml lime juice
50 ml pink gin
Lemonade
Method:
Juice the strawberries and cranberries and pour into a cocktail shaker.
Juice the raspberries, then push the juice through a sieve to remove the seeds. Add the raspberry juice to the cocktail shaker.
Measure 15 ml of lime juice and 50 ml of pink gin and add to the cocktail shaker. Add a couple of ice cubes and shake until well mixed.
Pour out your cocktail into glasses and top off with lemonade.
If you’re not a big drinker, you can still join in on the fun – this mocktail recipe is delicious and still incredibly easy to make.
