CARDIFF FOOD AND DRINK FESTIVAL
Fast become one of the most anticipated Welsh culture highlights as far as food festivals goes, Cardiff Food & Drink Festival comprises three days of local and globally sourced produce from farmers’ markets, producers’ fairs and trade stands. Enjoy a full programme of live music amongst a street food piazza and plenty of event bars.

IT’S THE NEW THING
An artist who lives and works in Llangadog, Julie Ann Sheridan is hosting her exhibition It’s The New Thing in Swansea’s Volcano Theatre, which follows her first exhibition at the same venue back in 2022. This new collection from focuses on something called ‘extended painting’, and she works with fly-tipped furniture and recycled upholstery materials.

TAFWYL
Featuring performances from the likes of Buzz featured artists Tara Bandito, Eadyth and Hana Lili, Tafwyl is an annual Welsh-language festival. This July, the Welsh culture staple has upgraded to Cardiff Castle for two days of live music and DJs.

TOM JONES
What would a list of Welsh culture highlights this July be without mentioning an upcoming Tom Jones show? A legendary icon since the 1960s, Tom will be stopping the Ages and Stages tour off for two nights at Cardiff Castle with support from Kelly Jones’ new project Far From Saints.

AN EVENING WITH GRAND SLAM HEROES 2
The second instalment of the Grand Slam Heroes series features Welsh rugby names James Hook, Martyn Williams, Tom Shanklin and Lee Byrne as part of the lead up to the Rugby World Cup.

GLASTONBARRY
Landmark Welsh tribute festival Glastonbarry returns to its late July slot with acts paying tribute to the likes of Queen, Oasis, Beyonce, Bob Marley amongst many other recognisable names. This year will be the festival’s 10th anniversary, too.
