KING KING | LIVE REVIEW
The Muni, Pontypridd, Fri 4 May
A night of blues-rock delivered by Lincoln’s King King, touring their fourth album Exile & Grace, with Canadian Steve Hill as support. Excellent he was, too, playing a guitar, two cymbals and two drums all by himself.
King King’s excellent setlist, meanwhile, sustained the crowd’s desire to whoop, sing, dance and, when required, engage in friendly Celtic banter with frontman Alan Nimmo. An encore found the crowd continuing to sing, sway and thoroughly enjoy themselves, as they had throughout the night.
