This month, as part of our 25th anniversary festivities, we’re celebrating the creative spirit in all its aspects and are hosting a series of talks and workshops on the meaning of creativity and how to best get involved in the creative arts. RED KITE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Join award-winning landscape and wildlife photographer Drew Buckley on a Red Kite photography workshop in the heart of Wales. It’s one of the best places to get up close and personal to these magnificent birds, which will give you the opportunity to take superb photos of the stunning acrobatic flyers. Capturing birds in flight is one of the greatest challenges as a photographer, but it can also be the most rewarding.

If you are interested in working within the media, creating films, editing or designing graphics, Coleg Ceredigion offers a programme to help you learn the skills you need to have a career in the media industry. The programme will allow you to complete projects using a variety of high-end film and sound-recording equipment. Everyone who has left Coleg Ceredigion has been given the skills and experience needed to begin a career in the media industry; past students have gone on to set up their own production companies and start teaching.

LEARN ABOUT FILM – FILMMAKING ON IPADS AND IPHONES

This workshop provides the opportunity to use your iPhone or iPad to create films straight from your devices. It’s designed for people with no experience of making videos, providing you with the key skills needed to make short factual or training films. You will learn how to film different shots and stills with a camera app. You will then put both the film and the stills together, editing the order of the shots and adding other features to make it more professional. This course is available to both individuals and groups.
