The Unicorn, Pontypool
Mon 23 April

Following on from a globally successful event last year, World Book Night is set to return in 2012 on April 23rd – a date which commemorates both the birth and death of William Shakespeare – with the same undertaking of inspiring hosts of volunteers to give away copies of specially selected books in unique locations to members of their local community in an effort to share their own love of reading. Tens of thousands of enthusiastic volunteers apply to issue books within their community and The Unicorn in Pontypool is delighted to have been chosen once again as a distribution location. Along with locations in Ireland, Germany and USA, they will be hosting their own WBN celebration on the night where specially bound copies of Sleepyhead by Mark Billingham will be given away to members of the community free of charge.
