WHO SAVES THE HERO? ****
Self-Destruction (Lost Music Collective)
South Wales pop-punk powerhouse quartet Who Saves The Hero? have been grafting hard since their beginning in 2014, and secured an invitation to play a San Diego date on the last ever Vans Warped Tour in 2018. Their success has continued with their recent signing to Lost Music Collective, Vinnie from Less Than Jake’s label – WSTH? being the first international band to sign with him.
Self Destruction feels nostalgic yet fresh, poignant and infectious all at the same time. A range of emotions which matches its theme on everyday mental health struggles, penned by frontman Josh Frederick after experiencing a panic attack himself. Josh speaks about how it’s something he never thought would happen to him and how he had to find a way to deal with this difficult period in his life.
If you want to feel all the joys and angst of early-00s pop-punk then grab your air guitar, jump on your bed and enjoy this three minutes and 13 seconds of pure hook-riddled wistfulness.
