Eras in calculation: TAYLOR SWIFT’s Cardiff debut to form part of record-breaking 2024 for Principality Stadium
The Principality Stadium’s Mark Williams bigs up this recent announcement by noting that its four gigs in 2023 – a brace each for Coldplay and Harry Styles – have broken their personal record for a calendar year by getting 250,000 people through the door. Taylor Swift’s first Welsh stadium show, Williams continues, will form part of a “record year” for the Principality. (Foo Fighters were announced about a week after this show.)
In the meantime, let us note Swift’s midsummer arrival on her Eras world tour, which began in the United States this March and, though widely praised for its bells, whistles and exhaustive showcasing of her discography, attracted attention beyond her fanbase for the debacle around actually trying to buy a ticket for the thing. Has anyone important learned any lessons, or been given reason to heed them, as a result? Hard to say!
What is a safer bet, though, is that if you want to see Taylor Swift at Cardiff’s famous Principality Stadium on Tue 18 June, you can try the ‘Taylor Swift UK store Midnights pre-order pre-sale access ticket sales’ on Wed 12 July at 10am, or failing that be ready at 2pm on Thurs 20 July.
