One of Wales’ most popular summer events, the Royal Welsh Show, is back this July and aims to celebrate the best Welsh livestock, as well as high quality food and drink produced in Wales. It also brings together the wider spectrum of farming and rural life in an attempt to bridge the gap between town and country. At the show, there’s a huge range of events, including forestry, horticulture, crafts, countryside sports, a sports village and a 12-hour programme of exciting entertainment that continues throughout each of the four days of the event. It’s a perfect time for window shopping as there’ll be more than 7,000 livestock entries and over 1,000 trade strands attending. If you want an eye-opener of how farmers in Wales make a living, get to Builth Wells and make a visit to the Royal Welsh Show.
