The ever versatile Dogruff crew have been the leading light in Swansea’s underground scene since 2009. Having undertaken previous rhythmic ventures with highly sought-after names like Brawther, Jane Fitz and Ion Ludwig in various venues around the city, their penchant for forward-thinking bookings rings true once more. This October they return, at the intimate Mozarts, with VBX boss Ferro.
A hardware and analogue enthusiast (check his episode of Fact magazine’s Against The Clock series), the Dutchman’s musical ascension has been defined by his spiritual experiences, more specifically his fixation with the light and dark forces of our world. Through drawing inspiration from this eternal battle between good and evil and channelling it into his productions and sets, Jasper’s moniker has become synonymous with the minimal sound. A resident of Shelter Amsterdam and product of the city itself, he has become somewhat of a hometown hero.
Recent years have seen Ferro releases on Oscillat, Infuse and his own label VBX, in tandem with a flurry of bookings across the globe. Having formed a multitude of connections with revered institutions such as FUSE and HYTE, Ferro has become a permanent fixture on the finest minimal lineups, brushing shoulders with the best in his business. Support comes from Dogruff’s sublimely skilled usual suspects.
