After incredible success over the past few years, Sosban in Llanelli has been awarded the Good Food Guide’s Restaurant Of The Year 2012-13 award for Wales. The elegant eatery, situated on the North Dock in Carmarthenshire, offers delectable, gourmet food and a five-star service whilst still going easy on the purse-strings.
Head chef Sian Rees is one of the country’s leading female chefs and has previously worked at Michelin-starred establishments, allowing her to provide fantastic quality food with the help of general manager Ian Wood. The menu includes such delicacies as rock oysters, honey-roasted Barbary duck breast with gnocchi, and poached rhubarb with Welsh shortbread. They also host a good number of exciting events: a champagne-tasting ladies’ night is on the calendar for Thurs 20 June, followed by an evening of swing and soul music on Thurs 4 July.
