words: PHOEBE THOMAS
Star of S4C and Channel 5’s Milkshake, cavegirl Igam Ogam is coming to life in a vibrant new stage adaptation aimed at children between the ages of two and six.
The production, by Coreo Cymru and Wales Millennium Centre in association with Calon TV, combines puppets as well as performers in typically fun Igam Ogam costumes in a lively and interactive show across an impressive stage shaped like a pre-historic obstacle course. With a fun and catchy soundtrack by Julian Martin, the show follows the adventures of mischievous Igam Ogam and her sidekick Roly. Life seems pretty simple until one day she discovers a new friend… her shadow.
The production is running in both Welsh and English and features Pontypool dancer Lauren Lee Jones as Igam Ogam and Orris Gordon as Roly.
Igam Ogam’s creator, Carole Blade, was inspired to create the show by her own two young sons, so prepare yourselves for a great show of fun and mischief that is bound to captivate and engage the imagination of young audiences. Tickets: £6/£8. Info: See theatre websites
