The Wales Millennium Centre welcomes Hannah Eidinow’s adaptation of David Benson’s Lockerbie: Unfinished Business this March. The show tells the gripping tale of father, Jim Swire as he grieves for the loss of the innocent 270 victims that were killed during the Lockerbie disaster.
The infamous town of Lockerbie, situated in the Dumfries and Galloway area of south-west Scotland, was cast into the international spotlight in late 1988 after a bomb exploded aboard Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie. The Lockerbie disaster was the terrifying consequence of a terrorist attack that left many innocent victims dead. Besides the loss of many lives, this incident has had dramatic political consequences ever since, continuing to stir strong emotions in both the UK and America.
Lockerbie: Unfinished Business explores how the disaster put one man on an emotional rollercoaster until he finally loses faith in the legal system of Great Britain. Through the production we get to see how he perseveres to discover what really happened behind the scenes of disaster. Lockerbie: Unfinished Business is a slice of theatre that oozes political and global importance. The performance will showcase at the Western Studio in the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay and aims to entertain crowds with the tale of one man’s inspirational journey to finding the one thing he longs for most…truth.
