Grand Theatre, Swansea / New Theatre, Cardiff
Tue 29 + Wed 30 Aug / Thu 31 Aug-Sun 3 Sept
This magical, musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler invites you to join Mouse and friends on an adventure through the deep dark wood. Will the story of the terrifying Gruffalo save Mouse from ending up as dinner for these hungry woodland creatures? After all, there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo – is there?
A much-loved show that’s toured Britain and the world, The Gruffalo is coming to two venues in Wales this summer. It will be in Swansea from late August before transporting to Cardiff for the end of August and early September, which makes this show a perfect summer holiday treat for all the family. Enjoy encounters with a whole cast of zany characters such as the fun-loving snake, cunning fox and of course, the fearsome Gruffalo. The Tall Stories Theatre Company are also performing a tour of the sequel in the future, The Gruffalo’s Child.
With funky songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged three and up (and for parents who will inevitably be dragged along as well) this show is sure to be one to keep the kids quiet, even if for only an hour.
