CUCKOO’S NEST | STAGE PREVIEW
Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay, Thurs 18-Sat 20 Sept
Ken Kesey’s cult novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, is brought to the stage in Footsbarn Travelling Theatre’s adaptation of the 1962 classic. A narrative of the human mind, its transition from book to performance equates to an inspiring and timeless watch that can be enjoyed by both newcomers to the story and fans of the original.
Following the lives of the patients in Oregon Psychiatric Hospital, Cuckoo’s Nest narrates the trials and tribulations of living under the authoritative hand of Nurse Ratched. During their 43 years of activity, Footsbarn have travelled the world with their diverse group of performers; well practised in their trade, there couldn’t be anyone more suited to the job of giving Kesey’s magnum opus a new lease of life.
