Strikingly angular, and nigh on unmissable as it fulfils the promise of its name by sitting beside the River Usk, this venue opened in 2004 in the wake of Newport being granted city status, and contains a 500-capacity theatre, cinema, workshop spaces, gallery and a café bar. It’s consistently been especially strong on touring plays and comedians.
