OLLY MURS / LOUISA JOHNSON | LIVE REVIEW
Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, Mon 20 Mar
As a big fan of Olly Murs, I had high expectations for his show on the 20th March 2017, and I think that it’s safe to say that he did not disappoint. On taking the stage following a set from tour support act Louisa Johnson, fans went wild as the lively atmosphere was set for the night. With a mixture of his own popular hits and covers, it was clear to see why tickets for this concert were sold out.
From attending Olly’s concerts in the past, I was very familiar with his cheeky attitude and suggestive dance moves and was happy to see that he hadn’t changed one bit: intentionally teasing the crowd with his jokes and innuendos. Along with this, Olly gave the event a personal twist by spending time to give the back story to some of the songs that were closer to his heart, they were both touching and tangible. I felt that the personal aspect of the concert made the crowd seem as though they were closer to Olly than just his fans – while providing them with a moment to rest from all the jumping around and dancing.
All in all, it was a fantastic evening full of laughs, smiles and good music with a great atmosphere for all ages. If you ever find Mr Murs on tour in your city, I would highly recommend that you get yourself some tickets.
