SWAN LAKE | STAGE PREVIEW
Since 1958, the prestigious Russian State Ballet and Opera House has been known for its world class opera and ballet productions, working with established theatres in the Russian Federation to find and use the very best Russian performers in their productions. Often a different artist will be brought to the UK every year, which means generally that no production will be the same from one year to the next.
They are currently touring perhaps the most famous ballet of all time; Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, which will stop at Swansea’s Congress Theatre on Thurs 5 Dec. Accompanied by a 30 strong orchestra and stamp of quality reserved for all RSBAOH productions, the constantly evolving approach the company has for productions will keep the most fully fledged ballet devotee on their toes, and the beautiful design and choreography guaranteed by RSBAOH will likely enthral any indifferent first timer. Those expecting a psychotic Natalie Portman swanning around the stage however, will probably be in for a disappointment.
