An Evening of (G)astronomy – 4th April (Abergavenny)

Derren Brown – 4th-9th April (Cardiff)
Back due to popular demand, illusionist, Derren Brown, will be performing in the capital this week, with his most recent show; ‘Miracle’. The live show will be on stage at Wales Millennium Centre across the week and is guaranteed to leave your mind puzzled and amazed through his magical and mysterious work. Bug Boxes – 4th-9th April (Swansea)
This free, hands on event will be running throughout this week at Swansea’s National Waterfront Museum. Between 12.30pm and 3.30pm pop in and make your very own bug box, watch your creepy crawlies through a magnifying glass and learn all about them.
Royal Ballet Live: Giselle – 6th April (Barry)
A live broadcast straight from the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London, will be shown in Barry’s Memo Arts Centre this week. Giselle is a romantic tale expressed through the form of ballet, featuring music from the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. For £15.00 a ticket, this performance will be the perfect mid-week viewing.
Dinky Dragons – 8th April (Cardiff)
Something especially for the little ones in the heart of the city centre, Cardiff Story Museum is hosting this free event for toddlers between 10am to 3pm. Activities will include stories, detective trails, crafts, music and many more activities to keep everybody entertained.
Cardiff Castle Ghost Tour- 8th April (Cardiff)
View Cardiff Castle in a whole different light, literally! This guided tour will cover the spots where supernatural experiences have been seen or felt throughout the years and take guests around one of Cardiff’s oldest attractions in the dark. With ghost stories and atmospheric settings, it will be an experience unlike any other tour at the Castle. Soul Legends- 8th April (Cardiff)
With what is being described as the ‘feel good show of the year’ if you fancy a throwback to the sixties, covering seventies and eighties classics, this is the show for you. With standard ticket prices at £25.50, join Gwen Dickey of super group Rose Royce for a vibrant, energetic show.
Bargoed Spring Fair – 9th April (Bargoed)
An event which can be enjoyed by the whole family, the annual fair is full of spring based fun to fill your Saturday. With food and craft stalls, donkey rides, face painting and traditional Punch and Judy shows all located in Bargoed Town Centre, it’ll be a perfect way to end the Easter holidays.
Cardiff Official Vintage Kilo Sale – 9th April (Cardiff)
One of Britain’s largest vintage fairs will be bringing retro fashion to Cardiff this Saturday. With the incredibly low price of £15.00 per kilo of clothes, it’ll be a great place to pick up a bargain on some unique clothing. Entry starts at 11.00am for the early bird price of £3 and 12.00pm for £1.50. So if your wardrobe is in need of a revamp or you just fancy treating yourself, head down to Portland House, Bute Street.
Craft Workshop at Oystermouth Castle – 9th April (Swansea)
A great way to fill your Saturday with a bit of creativity, this workshop will allow your little ones to feel like the king or queen of the castle, making their very own crowns or badges. Normal attraction admission charges apply for the event along with a 50p entry fee per child, suitable for children aged 3-11 years old.
