Texas – Mon 11 Sept
The Scottish pop-rock band begin their 21-date tour in St Davids Hall, following the release of their ninth studio album Jump on Board.

Cost:  £30+

The Wipers Times – Tues 12 Sept

Straight from the West End, this play highlights the relentless hope of humanity in the Great War. Set in a bombed out building in Ypres (mispronounced as Wipers by the British men), two officers uncover a printing press and create The Wipers Times for those on the front line.

Cost : £13+

Jane Eyre: An Autobiography – Thurs 14 Sept

Based on the autobiographical novel by Charlotte Bronte, this play follows Jane Eyre (bought to life by Rebecca Vaughan) battling against the demands of a Victorian society.

Cost: £10-£13

Faulty Towers Dining Experience – Thurs 14 – Thurs 21 Sept

A dining experience like no other, this three course meal served by Basil, Sybil and Manuel is an essential for any comedy fan. With seventy percent of the show relying on improvisation, your experience is guaranteed to be a unique one.

Cost: £45+

Cardiff Oktoberfest – Thurs 14- Sun 17 Sept

Not only can you expect authentic German beer and food over the weekend, Oktoberfest promises live music throughout the weekend, full Dirndl and Lederhosen fancy dress from staff and decoration that will make you feel miles away from a tent in Cardiff.

The Good Life Experience – Fri 15 – Sun 17 Sept

Launched four years ago by Cerys Matthews, Steve Abbot, and Charlie and Caroline Gladstone, this weekend festival promises a weekend full of food, music, poetry, art, and much more.

Welsh National Opera Family Day – Sat 16 Sept

A day compiled of costume workshops, prop making, orchestral demonstrations, singing games with WNO singers and talks with composers, there’s definitely something for all of the family to enjoy at this jam-packed day of theatre.

#INDYFEST – Sat 16 Sept

Taking over Womanby Street, the day festival of music, poetry, comedy and so much more embarks to invoke the Welsh’s rebellious spirit and celebrate its diverse nature in this first celebration of the Welsh independence cause.

Abergavenny Food Festival – Sat 16 + Sun 17 Sept

Holding the title of the longest running and largest food festival in Wales, there is sure to be plenty to see (and eat) over the weekend. With over 30,000 visitors, the festival aims to transform the way people think about food and encourage them to look at the origin of their meals.

Cost: £14

The Indians Are Coming – Sun 17 Sept

Hosted by the Chuckle Singhs, this top night of comedy including Don Biswas, Sunil Patel and Inder Manocha promises a hilarious evening full of banter and audience interaction.
