Thriller Live – 25th April/30th April
Straight from the West End, Thriller Live is a spectacular concert and is back in Cardiff to celebrate the undisputed King of Pop Michael Jackson and the career of arguably the world’s greatest entertainer. Brain Night – 28th April
The Gate Art and Community Theatre in Cardiff plays host to Brain Night, a fun evening dedicated to science featuring; brain games, brain art, a neuroscience Q&A, plus live performances with a bar and buffet. So if you think you know your science and are ready to test your brain skills out then don’t miss out on this event. Admission: free.
ISIL, Syria and the Middle East: The US Perspective – 28th April
The Welsh Centre for International Affairs plays host to a night of politics as a special guest speaker from the US Embassy in London who has worked in Islambad, Riyadh, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and many other locations will aim to enlighten those who planning on attending this event in a discussion about the Syrian Civil War, and how America has played an important but to some a controversial role in Syria. An intriguing evening not to be missed. Admission: free.
Farms, Families and Things Found on the Beach– 28th April
At the Pavilion in Penarth an event is taking place looking into Penarth’s rich history with a focus on the town, and then they will turn their attention to the village, looking at it from an 18th century perspective with Dr. Chris Riley. Whilst exploring the past through the people who lived in the historic town, the buildings that remain and the things that can now find on the beach, it promises to be fascinating. Buffalo Cocktail Festival – 29th April

Judgement Day IV – 30th April
One event simply not to be missed for rugby lovers, as the Principality Stadium in Cardiff plays host to what will be simply be a full blown war as Cardiff Blues lock horns with The Ospreys, followed by Newport Gwent Dragons taking on Llanelli Scarlets. For a double derby spectacular it’s sure to be a great day out. Tickets from £10.
Depot Presents: Gin Stock – 30th April/1st May
Described as South Wales’ coolest gin festival, Depot plays host to some of the UK’s finest gin producers in their warehouse for a celebration of all things gin. So if you are partial to a glass of gin, then this is the perfect event for you as more than 50 types of gin will be on offer from a range of various producers, plus plenty of food traders to keep your stomach settled throughout the day. SSE Swalec Finals Day – 1st May
If you simply cannot get enough of your rugby fix, then just one day later after Judgement Day comes the SSE Swalec Finals Day once again hosted at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, where three final games will take place; Burry Port V Taffs Well, followed by Bedlinog V Penallta, and then Carmarthen Quins V Llandovery to round off what looks to be a jam packed and fun day out. Tickets priced at £10 and £5 for concessions.
Cardiff’s Vintage Home and Furniture Market – 1st May
For the very first time in Cardiff a vintage home and furniture market will take place, Featuring 30 traders this event is ideal for fans of the retro home. It expects to contain all sorts of eclectic goods from vintage furniture, glass wear & lighting to books, records and other collectables. It will also be host to a delicious vintage tea party serving up sweet and savoury homemade treats on fine china. Entry from £2.
