Tails From The Horse’s Mouth is a community play which is to be performed at the Llywnypia Community & Arts Centre, Tonypandy from the Wed 17 Nov-Sat 20 Nov. Performed and produced by the Spectacle Theatre group, Tails From The Horse’s Mouth is a large scale community play aiming to commemorate the centenary of the Tonypandy Riots of 1910. Spectacle Theatre are normally involved in tours of schools but this particular production is different. Written by professional theatre writers working with the community, Tails From The Horse’s Mouth are now approaching their rehearsal stages ahead of their performances in November, and with Spectacle Theatre stepping out of their comfort zone with this play, this project aims to include as many people as possible in all aspects of the production; from the audience to the stage crew. Spectacle Theatre has invited anyone from the community to take part regardless of skiill level. The Community Play Project has being up and running since 2006 and since then regular meetings of interested partners have been held to create opportunities for artists and the community to get involved with the project. Tails From The Horse’s Mouth is sure to be one to look out for.
