Dance House, Cardiff
Fri 12 May
The EDge dance crew will be performing at the Dance House with National Dance Company Wales. The EDge is the postgraduate performance company of London Contemporary Dance School, which offers a group of young artists the opportunity to develop their skills as dance artists in an intensely creative environment.
The performance includes three freshly created works by Tony Adigun, Patricia Okenwa and Karen and Allen Kaeja, appear alongside Strange Blooms, a restaging of the Shobna Jeyasingh creation that explores the anatomy of plant cells under a microscope.
Members of the group work across media and styles as contemporary dancers, offering an experience accurately reflecting the breadth of the industry and their futures within it.
The group also works with high-calibre professional dance choreographers and an artistic director and tour programmes of original work and repertory to venues nationally and internationally. They also engage in a broad variety of other projects exploring the creative process; using professional improvisational work or site specific choreography. This allows them to further collaborate with dance organisations and artists across the industry.
