Once heard never forgotten, Los Chinches are a truly original, cutting edge band with a sack full of tropical rhythms and psychedelic Peruvian soul music to get you grooving.
To name but only a few high profile gigs, they’ve played Glastonbury, Bestival, La Linea and The Big Chill, and now, Los Chinches are coming to the intimate, dance-fuelled setting of Fat City, to celebrate their forthcoming debut album release as part of their highly anticipated UK tour.
Since discovering their unique sound in a small bar next to a Peruvian highway, Los Chinches have come a long way. Mixing Peruvian Cumbia with influences as broad as ska, funk, Latin and psychedelic surf rock, they’ve created a flamboyant and contagious Amazonian sound sure to get everyone dancing.
Formed in 2007 in London, Los Chinches blend percussion, Amazonian melodies and surf guitar along with a little bit of “Londoness” to form their trademark psychedelic sound which is said to be a “fine line between complete madness and working well.”
Their sound creates an electric, high energy atmosphere in every venue, and with their gig at Gwdihw, you can expecting nothing different. Combined with Fat City’s eclectic record box and you have the makings of a wild and energetic night of entertainment for the bargain price of only £3.
Admission: £3. Info: www.gwdihw.co.uk/fat-city-w-los-chinches
