INCREDIBLES 2 | FILM PREVIEW

July 6, 2018 Category: Film, Previews

[wpdevart_youtube]i5qOzqD9Rms[/wpdevart_youtube]THE INCREDIBLES 2 ****

Dir: Brad Bird (PG, 118 mins)

It’s been 14 years since this superhero family last graced our screens, quite a gap for a sequel. The Incredibles 2, however, picks up exactly where the last film left off, with the gang facing up to the threat of the Underminer. Elastigirl, voiced by Holly Hunter, is soon recruited by a mysterious agency, headed by the Deavor siblings, voiced by Catherine Keener and Bill Oedenkirk. They want to bring superheroes back to prominence, with Elastigirl at the forefront of this new age. This also means leaving husband Mr Incredible (voiced once more by Craig T. Nelson) at home to bring up the kids: superfast Dash (Huck Milner), forcefield manipulator Violet (Sarah Vowell) and multi-powered and utterly unpredictable baby Jack-Jack. Naturally events conspire to bring them all back together, meeting favourites like costume designer Edna Mode and Samuel L Jackson’s Frozone. This should be as much fun as the original with Pixar’s trademark humour and bombastic thrills intact thanks to director Bird. Opens July 13
