ANATHEMA IN-STORE SIGNING | EVENT PREVIEW
Anathema, the prominent doom/gothic bands that took the british metal scene by storm in the last two decades will be doing an in-store signing session at Spiller Records in Cardiff on Wed 11 June. This is following the release of their tenth studio album Distant Satellites, the highly anticipated follow up to 2012’s Weather Systems which is to be released via KScope Record Label on Mon 9 June. The band claim that Distant Satellites is ‘the culmination of everything Anathema has been working up to so far in their musical path’, so be sure to head down and grab your limited edition signed copy and meet the band!
The Liverpudlian progressive rock band Anathema was founded in 1990 by the three Cavanagh brothers, John Douglas and singer Darren White, originally under the name Pagan Angel. As band members have come and gone, Anathema’s unique sound has been pulled in different musical directions, and across their ten albums their style has transformed from a sorrowful and atmospheric death/doom sound with gruff death-style voices to a more alternative sound of progressive and acoustic rock that features in this latest release.
