DELETE PRESENTS SWEELY LIVE + FREAKENSTEIN | CLUB PREVIEW
Jacob’s Market, Cardiff, Sat 29 Feb
Delete are back in Jacob’s Antiques basement for their first event of 2020. They’re celebrating their 10th birthday this year, with Sweely [above] and Freakenstein kicking things off ahead of Delete’s big birthday bash over the May bank holiday. At only 23 years old, French house and electro producer Sweely is wise beyond his years when it comes to live performance and production. His creative, eclectic stream of releases and energizing live performances earned him residency at the infamous Concrete club in Paris. He’s had tracks out on labels including La Chinerie, Distant Hawaii, Swap White LTD, Lobster Theremin and Concrete Music, and will be bringing his signature live set to Delete’s February event.
Co-headlining is Freakenstein, the electro alias of UK house and techno veteran Tristan da Cunha. While he may be better known for his residency at Leeds’ Back To Basics, Europe’s longest running weekly club night, da Cunha embraces a funk-loving, futuristic new identity as Freakenstein. After a standout Boiler Room show in Plymouth, the ‘intergalactic booty hunter’ is set to arrive at Delete with an arsenal of ‘sci-fi sonics’ and outrageous electro records.
Support on the night comes from Delete’s Marc Parsons, Lee Graves and Matt Owen.
