Founded in 2010, the Women Of The World festival comes to Cardiff’s Chapter Arts Centre this November. The festival will be a blend of debate, comedy, music, mentoring, workshops and performance, raising awareness and taking a frank look at challenges women face in modern times. Appearing at the festival will be Gwenno Saunders, Charlotte Church and Michael Sheen to name a few.

WINTER WONDERLAND
Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland returns next month, bringing with it a whole host of festive fun. The ice rink is back for those who fancy skating in the shadow of the city hall, and new for 2018 is a 90m Drop Tower, lifting passengers way above the city before dropping them straight back down to the floor. If you’re feeling a bit more sophisticated than that, then the Sur La Piste apres-ski lounge offers a place to eat, drink and relax.

DYLAN MORAN: DR COSMOS
Dylan Moran, star of Black Books and Shaun Of The Dead to name but two, brings his all new stand-up tour to the Wales Millennium Centre this November. ASTRONAUT TOUR
Explore the final frontier with this event launching in Cardiff University this November. NASA astronaut Dr Steve Swanson will be in the capital discussing his two shuttle missions and the 643 hours he logged in space. MARTIN BRIGGS: ON THE WAY
Welsh-born artist Martin Briggs hosts an exhibition of his striking work in Cardiff’s Sustainable Studio this November. Briggs’ work is a product of his travels; he is inspired by his surroundings, in particular Welsh and Japanese scenery. Martin uses Japanese brushes to create striking landscapes of bold colour and unique compositions.
