Swap leftovers for lengths this Boxing Day, joining hundreds who will brave the ice-cold conditions to swim across the shores of North Beach in Tenby for the 47th time, all in the name of charity. The legendary Tenby Boxing Day Swim is a key date on the festive calendar for locals and a source of pride, with an opportunity to work off that turkey, though the more sensible (or less stout, depending on how you see it) can stay warm while watching from the sidelines. This year’s theme – Cool Cymru – means you can expect to see daffodils and dragons galore, as people celebrate the swim and Welsh culture. As ever it’s set to be one of the most eccentric days of the year. So choose your charity, resist the last bits of turkey and stuffing, and dive right in, if you can deal with the ice-cold current!
