HALLOWEEN AT HENDREWENNOL | PREVIEW
The fall of the crusty leaves following the sunny afternoons of summer isn’t the only transformation you’ll see this autumn, as the sweet and innocent fields of Hendrewennol turn mischievous for Halloween.
The family run fruit business is the biggest and most visited in South Wales, but from the Fri 25 Oct to Sun 2 Nov it disguises itself in a mask of carved pumpkins and impressive face paints. During the day Hendrewennol will enrol you in their Pumpkin Carving School, where you can let your creative side run as wild as others dash through the farm’s own Spooky Maze. If you’re that fearless though, the maze and graveyard are enterable at night, giving you (or your little terrors) the chance to prove that you’re the bravest one on the pumpkin patch.
Frights and horror can also be expected from the ghoulish stories on offer, including a tale about their local ghost Sir John, promising a memorable night of mischief. For those who are less wild though, don’t despair, as the people of Hendrewennol will also teach you all about Halloween and its origins.
With covered picnic areas, free coffee and hot dogs and free parking, the farm has you adults in mind too.
So whether you want to prove your bravado or design yourself a new orange companion, a Halloween at Hendrewennol will have something there for big and little monsters.
