This May, the rugby boots will be traded in for high heels and personalised sneakers as The Pac y Scarlets rugby stadium will be graced by its first-ever one-day music festival. Parc y Scarlets, the home of the Llanelli Scarlets rugby team, isn’t all that unfamiliar with the limelight, having previously been the host venue for Scarlet FM’s Fireworks Extravaganza last November. The event, which welcomed big X-Factor names, Lloyd Daniels and Marlon McKenzie, alongside A3 from Britain’s Got Talent, was a great success; but the stadium has gone one better with the inaugural Enjoy 2011 festival which will see the vivacious British girl group, The Saturdays, headlining the event.
Since their 2008 debut, The Saturdays have shot to success with eight UK top 10 singles, three albums and two sellout tours already securely under their belts. Famed for popular hits such as Just Can’t Get Enough, Ego and Forever Is Over, The Saturdays will undoubtedly bring a little bit of style, glamour and excitement to the Parc y Scarlets stadium on Sat 21 May. Also appearing at Enjoy 2011, Wretch 32, Tinchy Stryder, Six D, Starboy Nathan, Encore and Wyn Evans will be entertaining the crowds.
