Choro Choro Cymru
Royal Welsh College Of Music & Drama Cardiff, South Glamorgan, UKThis is a five-piece band headed up by Welsh jazz pianist Huw Warren, and providing an outlet for him to scratch his Brazilian itch: choro is brisk, danceable music dating from late 19th-century Rio and thus a forebear of samba and bossa nova. Warren’s bandmates include Brazilian percussionist Adriano Adewale.
