St David’s Hall, Cardiff
Fri 6 Jan
For those about to rock, we bite you! Halloween may be dead and buried but vampires are ready to rock. After twelve years and over three thousand live performances, Steve Steinman in his role as Baron Von Rockula, descends on St David’s Hall in the all new Vampires Rock saga, The Ghost Train. Club Live and Let Die has been razed to the ground and the Baron and his band of blood suckers are in search of a new habitat. What could be homelier than an abandoned fairground ride? The group take sanctuary in the Ghost Train where they formulate a new plan to lure victims and condemn them to Rock ‘n’ Roll hell. Forever.
Steinman is joined by a super cast of singers, dancers and musicians who will head-bang their way through such classic rock anthems as Sweet Child Of Mine, We Will Rock You and, fittingly, Bat Out Of Hell. Reported to be fabulously funny and fantastically sexy, the show is a spectacle: pantomime meets Paranormal Activity; hamming-it-up meets Hammer horror. Packed with fire and aerial stunts, mischief and mayhem, the vamp has been ramped in this spectacular sequel to the screamingly successful Vampires Rock Musical Concert. So, grab your cape, slip in your fake fangs and get ready for a scream.
