Got A Story To Tell (Daptone)

Following a well-received eponymous 2022 debut, San Diego threesome Thee Sacred Souls return with a second album, again emerging through esteemed retro soul imprint Daptone. Got A Story To Tell has an unabashed vibe of consciousness, vulnerability and positivity that sweeps from track to track, with Josh Lane’s beautiful words and vocals bringing to mind Marvin Gaye’s prime early 70s cuts, notably What’s Going On.
