words: CARYS CROSS
Having conceived the idea for The Masters Of The House following a viewing of Les Miserables at the Royal Albert Hall, producer Jack Applebaum has firmly established the company as the top banana for West End stars in between theatrical roles, bringing a true wealth of experience and skill to the production.
February sees the theatre group bring Sing The Musicals to audiences across the UK, a singalong fest for the karaoke-friendly and the unwilling partner.
Described as a “tribute to the world of musical theatre” (code for voluntary torture for some, admittedly), the show celebrates 50 years of the musical back-catalogue, packed to the brim with familiar classics from more musicals than you could shake a stick at: Namely The Sound Of Music, Follies, Blood Brothers and the recent West End sensation, Wicked.
Team that with a star-studded cast selected from West End success stories such as Les Miserables, Evita, The Phantom Of The Opera and Spamalot. If that doesn’t tickle your vocal chords enough, the show has been updated with a host of “exciting new songs”, featuring in the wake of the company’s 10th anniversary.
As if travelling the highs and lows of the nation isn’t enough, The Masters Of The House can also be brought to anywhere that’s bigger than your living room, available for corporate events, private parties and functions, and so on. Look at it this way, this opportunity kills a gazillion birds with one stone. You may never have to see the Palladium again.
