THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK | STAGE PREVIEW
This poignant, heartbreaking true story which for decades has given a human face to the widespread horrors of the Holocaust really needs no introduction, touching so many countless numbers of people over the years that it has become engrained in popular culture throughout the world.
Presented by the Cardiff Little Theatre, Wendy Kesselman’s honest stage adaptation of Anne Frank’s diary documenting the last few years of her and her family’s life spent in hiding in a tiny annexe above a shop in Nazi-occupied Amsterdam is delicately yet devastatingly brought back to life in the intimate setting of The Gate, under the direction of Peter Andrews and Dianne Davies by a cast of ten. Everyone needs to watch or read her story at least once in their lives, and this production is a perfect opportunity.
