This indie farming simulation RPG is like a mix between Harvest Moon, Chrono Trigger, and Minecraft, and takes all of the best qualities of these games. The player takes the role of a character who takes over their grandfather’s old farm in Stardew Valley. They then manage the farm a la Harvest Moon, craft goods a la Minecraft, quest, and interact with the residents of Stardew Valley in an open-ended world. The fact that this viral game was entirely created by one man, Eric Barone, makes it even more impressive.
