Rhiwbina Village pop-up produce market – Sat 6 May
The weekly Rhiwbina farmers’ market usually takes place on Friday mornings at the Butchers Arms, but on Sat 6 May it will move to the centre of Rhiwbina village for one week only, giving a new wave of locals a chance to meet the producers and traders, and sample some of their handmade produce. Lee Skeet takeover at Brewdog Cardiff – Sun 7 May
This is the third date in this acclaimed Dorset chef’s Cardiff supperclub series. The menu changes at every event as the seasons change from spring to summer, giving Lee the chance to showcase the very best native Cornish produce. Beer & Cheese night at Small Bar – Thurs 11 May

Brother Thai Pop-Up at Washington Tea, Penarth – Sat 13 May
Promising a selection of traditional noodle dishes using gentle spices, Cardiff’s favourite Thai pop-up are holding a selection of supperclubs at Waterloo Tea in Penarth over May, June and July. Spring Foraging Courses in Bute Park – Sat 13 + Sun 28 May
If you fancy yourself as a bit of an urban hunter-gatherer, this guided forage walk around Bute Park in Cardiff city centre will help you to identify a selection of spring shoots, edible plants, flowers and some spring mushrooms – and also teach you what to avoid.
