TSHA

Fabric Presents (Fabric)

The latest artist to feature in the Fabric Presents mix series, curated by the label of the renowned club, is Teisha Matthews aka TSHA: a London-based, Ninja Tune-signed DJ and producer. Indeed, her own production Boyz features among the 25 tracks in this mix, one where Matthews takes it from the top.

RELATED: ‘After a long wait, the 90 minute Dua Lipa show in Cardiff felt like it whipped along, and like some of the best parties, was over too soon.’

The aim is to showcase underground talent from the UK dance scene, and to pay it forward. Fabric Presents is a multi-genre electronic selection with a rave/old skool/acid house vibe running through it, Irish producer Uncle Knows’ 90s rave-styled Flock a standout in this respect. I’m looking forward to finding out more about the artists and record labels that I’ve been introduced to with this mix, which is what TSHA wants us to do. In addition to its CD and digital releases, 12 unmixed tracks from Fabric Presents have been selected for a double yellow vinyl release.

words EMMA J SMITH

KEEP READING: ‘As Groove Armada descended on Cardiff, the electronic duo ensured Good Friday lived up to its name for Twenty Five: their final live UK tour.’

APPLICATIONS for spring term 22 are now Closed: If you’re 18-30, live in Wales, and want to get ahead in the creative and cultural industries, express your interest for autumn term.
