This weekend Coed Hills Rural Artspace is hosting its most diverse public event to date. Following the recent success of several one day events, Coed Hills have opted to celebrate the spring equinox with a lavish offering of workshops, activities, demonstrations and entertainment that typifies the practical, creative, ecological and spiritual impetus that inspires the ongoing work at Wales’s leading centre for art in the landscape.
Starting at 6.00pm today with the opening ceremony in the stone circle, the festival leads into a weekend of workshops focussing on low impact living and sustainable skills, kids activities, story telling, sweat lodge, homemade organic food, dance and music from the underground festival scene, before culminating in an equinox ceremony at 2.00pm on Sunday.
These events have been created to offer visitors an immediate and accessible means of gaining a very real insight into what Coed Hills is all about. Free camping means that visitors can stay in situ all weekend for a more intimate involvement, or choose to visit on a daily basis if they prefer.
