The Weekend Ritual (self-released)

Bristol-based indie four-piece Adult Leisure, who this reviewer enjoyed greatly at a Cardiff gig back in September, now release their debut EP The Weekend Ritual. Previously, debut single Things You Don’t Know Yet (which concludes this EP) received good reviews.

Of TWR’s five tracks, Modern Son and Control – which came out two weeks ago – have already been streaming, along with Things…, while new Adult Leisure songs I Don’t Wanna Talk and Happiness offer a classic indie vibe, the latter in particular bringing a loud joyous sound that makes you want to jump around the room. It’s Control and Modern Son, which are constantly on repeat around my way, though, and I’m looking forward to seeing what this band comes out with next.
