Yoga & Wellness – 7 Mar

Held in Kiehls in the St David’s Centre, Cardiff, this event is value for yourr money and your health with meditation, yoga, fresh juice, coffee, tea and breakfast treats. As well as a Kiehls skin consultation, mini facial or hand and arm massage, you’ll get an exclusive Kiehls feel good skin care goody bag to take home.

Ruby Wax FRAZZLED! – 7 Mar

1 in 4 people suffer from mental health problems every year. “But this is not for the one in four – this is for the four in four,” says Ruby Wax. In her second touring show about mindfulness, Wax gives us her unique comedy take on how to balance our minds in a chaotic 21st century, appearing this week in Swansea and Cardiff.

A Play, A Pie and A Pint – 7 – 11 Mar

Three of everyone’s favourite things! Held at Sherman Cymru, this event brings you top quality theatre to enjoy as you eat and drink. The play centers around three sister who, in an attempt to combat financial destitution, set up a Dominatrix agency…but will it work?

Tickets: £12.50 (includes a pie and a pint)

International Women’s Day Afternoon Tea Networking Event – 8 Mar

Book the morning off work and sneak off to this gem of an event. Held at the Bierkeller, with a glass of bubbly and high tea included. Wear bold colours and talk for 5 mins each. Opens at 12pm.

Ignite Cardiff Deluxe – 8 Mar

Cited as the brightest speaking event of 2017, this event is a series of 12 five minute talks from members of the public. There is something uniquely immediate about spoken word that allows for fierce emotional delivery – if you’ve never been to one, try it, you might end up being inspired!

Amy – 8 Mar

This community cinema event is a regular monthly event at The Gate Cafe Bar. This month is a screening of the critically acclaimed Amy about the life and death of the revered Amy Winehouse. Included in the ticket price is a chance to enjoy a tasting of different wines. 15+

Tickets: £7 (£1.50 booking fee)

Young Art Force – 9 Mar 

Art fan? If you’re aged between 14 and 24, this is an opportunity for you to respond to the work at the prestigious Glynn Vivan. The workshop will provide materials for participants to work with. Booking essential.

Urban Rural – until 11 Mar

“From an artist’s perspective.” Held in the Visit Caerphilly Centre and created to coincide with St David’s Day, this event carries on afterwards to feature artists Richard Bavin, Louis Collins and emerging talent Erika Kiss join together for this mix of work inspired from both rural and urban landscapes.

Hello Cabaret – 10 Mar

Hello Cabaret are a collection of talents who have come together to provide you with an evening of the best in musical theatre. They want to “drag us away from The X-Factor and The Voice to enjoy and get involved in real music making.” At the WMC, Cardiff.

Spoken Word Saturday – 11 Mar

“Meet Up. Speak Up. Listen Up.” This event is the first Saturday of every month in The Ffwrnes, Theatrau Sir Gâr Llanelli. Each Saturday afternoon there’s a guest professional teller as well as an open floor. This month’s reading is of brand new play A Single Tree. Email to book a floor spot.
