St David's Day National Assembly for Wales

  1. Goodfellas at the TramShed – Mon 27 March

The TramShed will be screening the cult classic Goodfellas Monday night for your viewing pleasure. Directed by one of cinemas living legends Martin Scorsese Goodfellas is the best way to spend your Monday evening after a long day at work.

Tickets: £5.50

  1. Cirque Berserk – Tue 28 Feb

A large-scale family circus show starts on Tuesday fully equipped with jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, dancers, musicians and stuntmen. Highlights include Hercules the strongman, award-winning clown Tweedy and the death defying motorcycle act: the ‘Globe of Death’.

  1. National St David’s Day Parade – Wed 1 Mar

The National St David’s Day Parade will take place in the city on Wednesday and will start from Cardiff City Hall at 12.30 p.m, so come celebrate the biggest day on the Welsh calendar.

Admission: free

  1. Wild Cardiff Launch Party – Wed 1 Mar

Something for the students, WILD Cardiff is the city’s new student events host. It’s a series of themed club nights that will be taking place on the first Wednesday of every month. The first event begins on St David’s Day – a perfect excuse to be especially merry.

  1. Merthyr Tydfil Farmers Market  – Fri 3 Mar

Merthyr Tydfil Farmers Market is held on the morning of the first Friday of the month in the town centre. You will find fresh quality products that are grown, reared or made within a 50 mile radius of the town.

  1. Golden Thread Performing – Sat 4 Mar

Powerful and unique performances where stories from the audience are spontaneously and magically brought to life before your eyes. Everyone is welcome, young and old, to share moments from their lives!

  1. TUK TUK – Sat 4 Mar

A trio of creative musicians based in Cardiff, Tuk Tuk are a sax led group that perform tunes of memorable melodic lines and highly percussive group improvisation.

  1. Transitions Dance Company: Triple Bill – Sat 4 Mar

Transitions Dance Company is the UK’s leading student dance company, featuring 12superb dancers at the start of stellar careers.

Tickets: £13.50 – £9.50

  1. Jones Crisps Anglesey Half Marathon 2017 – Sun 5 Mar

A beautiful marathon that gives you the unique chance to cross a traffic free Menai Bridge. Following the coastal path, the half marathon is a great warm up for the London marathon later in the year.

Admission: £30

  1. Farrago at Cyfarthfa Castle Museum & Art Gallery – Sun 5 Mar

This will be your last chance to catch artist Michael Organ exhibition of drawings, paintings, assemblages, ceramics and bronze and iron cast sculptures. So catch this beautiful exhibit whilst the getting is good.
