Cult film night: Spirited Away – Mon 23 Jan

Aberystwyth Arts Centre are showing one of Studio Ghibli’s most famous films, and winner of the Best Animated Film Oscar, Spirited Away is a visual feast with a moving story following a young girl who enters a magical world. Miyazaki’s film presents a world of magic and wonder that lives long after the closing credits.

Swansea Museum is holding an exhibition of work by Griffith John, Swansea’s missionary in China.

This exhibition traces the remarkable life of the famous Swansea Missionary Griffith John, who went to China in 1855 and stayed for over fifty years. He travelled the country extensively, where he was a widely popular figure, and set up schools, hospitals and colleges.
