Swansea International Festival – Until Sun 15 Oct
This is truly a festival that highlights some of Wales’ most unique and independent music, comedy and art. Kicking off Swansea’s International Festival, the Swansea Fringe Festival will be held at some unique venues around Swansea high street. Events include a street food market, pop up Tomos Watkin tap room, and live bands in various bars along Wind Street.

Rhodri Davies / Evan Parker at Chapter – Mon 2 Oct
Aberystwyth born influential harpist Rhodri Davies will be joined by the revolutionary saxophonist Evan Parker to grace us with some free improvised jazz. With Parker having worked with the likes of drumming legend and Rolling Stone Charlie Watts, then you’re guaranteed an evening of pure class.

Rain – 50 Years of Sgt. Pepper at Venue Cymru – Mon 2 Oct
To celebrate 50 years of the psychedelic musical and lyrical genius that is Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles, Venue Cymru is hosting Rain, the world class Beatles tribute band. Be prepared to transform back the 60’s with some classic songs that the Beatles didn’t even perform live themselves.

Hinterland Tour at Cambrian Safaris – Mon 2 Oct – Mon 29 Jan 2018
If you’re a fan of Richard Harrington and the breath-taking views of North Ceredigion that we are absorbed with in BBC’s Hinterland – then this one’s for you. Starting Monday 2 October and running all the way until January 2018 this sets the Autumnal/Halloween mood perfectly.

Ocean Film Festival World Tour – Wed 4 Oct
With the controversy surrounding Sea World and the popularity of Blackfish there’s no surprise that the Ocean Film Festival World Tour is hitting Venue Cymru. Hosted by creators of the Banff Film Festival UK Tour, expect to see some of the World’s intriguing films about the ocean and its alluring creatures.

NME award winning Sŵn Festival returns to Cardiff blessing us with the Paris-based This is the Kit. You can find Kate Stables along with her nuanced folk-rock vibe at The Globe, Cardiff.

Hollie McNish at Wales Millennium Centre – Fri 6 Oct
Ted Hughes Award winning poet Hollie McNish will be at Wales Millennium Centre for only one night. McNish is praised for her brutally honest poems about the issues she faces on a daily bases as a young mother that not everyone is so confident to talk about.

Carry on Screaming at Chapter – Fri 6 Oct – Fri 27 Oct
Chapter are hosting Friday screenings of various new film releases that allows people to make as much noise as they need, ideally for carers or parents of young children. Victoria and Abdul is showing at 11am Friday 6 October. Additionally, Chapter hold dementia friendly screenings too.
