Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show at Fonmon Castle – Wed 10 Aug
The show is the largest event in the Vale of Glamorgan, attracting 20,000 people from surrounding areas. It hosts more than 200 trade stands, a large craft fair and horticultural show, as well as a registered dog show. It also runs sheep and horse classes. The price range is £12 for adults, £10 for senior citizens, £5 for children (until 16) and there is a family offer (2 adults and 2 children) for £30.
Essential Llandaff Ghost Walk at City Cross, Cathedral Green – Thurs 11 Aug

Chapter Sewcial: Alice Through The Looking Glass at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff – Fri 12 Aug
This workshop gives you the opportunity to let your imagination fly and make incredible accessories based on the famous characters from Alice In Wonderland. It runs from 10.45am to 3.30pm and it’s suitable for new and experienced sewers. The price is £22.50 and includes a ticket to see the film.
The Wondercrump World of Roald Dahl at the Wales Millenium Centre, Cardiff – Fri 12 Aug – Sat 14 Jan 2017
This Friday the WMC goes Roald Dahl mad. There will be large interactive experiences to commemorate one of the most well-known Welsh writers. Also, some artifacts, which belong to the official Roald Dahl Museum and the Story Centre, will be shown, such as manuscripts and hand-written letters. Tickets range from £8- £9.
