Feeling patriotic? Miss the days of finishing work and going to the working men’s club for a few? TOM the musical will take you back to the 60’s and the green, green grass of the valleys, to see how the legend, Tom Jones, made it big in the industry. The show starts at 7:30pm at the Wales Millennium Centre on Monday.
If Tom’s a bit outdated for you, then we’ve something for the younger generation too. The Junior Music Festival is on Monday at St. Davids Hall, celebrating the counties musical talents.
Tuesday will be the best day of the week thanks to the Sherman Theatre. They’re bringing the popular series, a play, a pie, and a pint, with a new script from Michael- Alan Read; Mr. and Mrs. Laughton. Included in your night of brilliant entertainment are, of course, a very humble pie and a pint…hurray!
80’s pop sensations, Wet Wet Wet, are in Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on Wednesday. Masters of a good old power ballad, they’ll be performing a collection of songs such as; with a little help from my friends, Love is all around and Goodnight Girl.
Sandi Toksvig, the successor of Stephen Fry’s QI thrown, will be bringing a night of laughs and politics to Cardiff on Thursday 10th. The comedian, novelist and actress will also be bringing on some special guests in the second half of the show, exciting.
If you’re in to mind magic, Derren Brown, the successful mentalist and illusionist is paying a visit to Swansea’s Grand Theatre on Friday for his ‘Miracle’ tour. A tip from us? Don’t put your hand up to volunteer.
The rugby returns this weekend with Wales taking on England in this year’s Six Nations tournament. Saturday see’s what is arguably the biggest game of the competition for rugby fans in the UK. Be sure to book a table at your favourite restaurant or watering hole to enjoy the game and atmosphere. The game kicks off at 4pm.
If watching a bunch of stocky men running around a muddy pitch isn’t your thing, multi – award winning comedian, Mark Watson, is paying Cardiff’s Sherman Theatre a visit for an evening of jokes, audience interactions and all sorts of other fun things.
Rounding off the week, strictly come dancing ‘hunk’ (?), Brendan Cole, is set to give audiences a night to remember. Brendan will lead foxtrot fans through a journey of ballroom dancing, from the cha-cha-cha to Charleston. Tickets for the Sunday show at the Millennium Centre are still available from £22.50.
X-Factor winners, Little Mix, bring their Get Weird tour to the centre on Sunday. Their songs include the chart busting Change Your Life, DNA and Black Magic. The show starts at 6:30pm at the Motorpoint Arena, tickets are still on sale.
