OFF PISTE CARDIFF WINTER FESTIVAL | LIVE PREVIEW + COMPETITION
Some of us may have been dreaming of getting away this Christmas, letting fantasies of skiing down beautiful snowy slopes and tasty post ski-drinks fill your head. Then we look up the heftily priced plane tickets and down at our empty looking wallets and sigh ‘maybe next year’. Well you might not need to wait that long.
Splott Warehouse, which has played host to the summers Cardiff Color Festival, is getting all dressed up again for their winter festival Off Piste. The warehouse will be transformed into a mountain top ski resort (with the help of some wintery decorations, towering icicles and snow).
Hitting the stage of the snowy spectacle will be DJ Fresh (whose tunes Louder and Hot Right Now hit number one in the UK) and Radio One’s Zane Lowe, as well as house/garage producer Shift K3Y, club hit star The Golden Boy, Bristol/Plymouth based Panda, locals GRL TLK and electronic music duo AlunaGeorge, who will be performing a live set.
The event will be embracing the glory days of ski slopes as well, with the opportunity to rent out brightly coloured retro ski oufits.
Off Piste Cardiff’s Winter Festival, Splott Warehouse, Cardiff, Sat 6 Dec. Tickets: £17.50. Info: www.splott-warehouse.co.uk
