Got Beef’s Garden Pop Up – The first two weekends of November
Tucked down an alleyway off Cardiff’s Cowbridge Road is Got Beef’s pop-up burger garden. It’s only around for a couple more weeks, open from 12-6pm on Saturdays and Sundays until Sun 13 Nov. There’s usually another guest indie-trader joining them each week, plus plenty of undercover seating, plus entertainment for the little ones too.
Porro’s second restaurant opening – Sat 5 Nov
Following on from success of Porro’s first restaurant in Llandaff village, the team have branched out and will be opening their second location on Wellfield Road in Roath. Expect more of their usual repertoire of ‘Italian-ish’ dishes that celebrate simple, quality, seasonal ingredients.
International Rugby & Street Food at The DEPOT – Every Saturday in November
As any self-respecting Welsh person will already know, there’s an international rugby match to watch EVERY Saturday in November! Combine your love of rugby with your love of good grub and hit the DEPOT for big screens and craft beers on tap, with the Street Food Social’ starting at 6pm. More info: depotcardiff.com.

Chai Street’s second restaurant opening – End of the month
Another success story for one of Cardiff’s most popular independents – this time, the team from Cowbridge Road’s Indian street-food restaurant Chai Street, are moving to a second location smack bang in the middle of town. Now you can head to their shiny new restaurant on the High Street any time you’re in need of a tip-top thali or some to-die-for lentil daal.
