Princess Royal Theatre, Port Talbot
Thurs 12 – Sun 22 Jan
The Valleys’ streets are paved with gold – or at least that’s what our panto hero Dick Whittington thinks! Join Jermin Productions on the cobbles of the Princess Royal for a ‘purrfect’ family pantomime filled with hilarious antics, daring sword fights and exotic trips with loveable Dick, rat infested vermin and even a navigating cat. This age-old family favourite begins when Dick Whittington sets sail on a voyage to London where he is determined to make his fame and fortune. Following the golden-paved road, Dick stumbles upon a puss called Tom Tom, a wealthy shop owner and his beautiful daughter, a magical fairy called Bowbells and the evil villain King Rat. This January’s Dick Whittington will be jam packed with all the classic traditional pantomime ingredients of family fun with stunning sets, brilliant songs, dazzling choreography and heaps of comedy slapstick to encourage plenty of laughs and audience participation! Raucous laughter, loud cheering and even louder booing are all compulsory, so get down here and join Dick and his trusty cat, Tommy, on a magical voyage from the mountains of Brecon to grand-old London town, then all the way back again for a splendid old knees-up of a finale.
