BBC COMEDY AWARD COMES TO CARDIFF

BBC Radio 2 New Comedy Award 2012

Since June, the BBC New Comedy Award has been searching the UK for the finest new comedy talent to join the likes of previous finalists Sarah Millican and Alan Carr. Now, after hours of meticulous decision making, judges have reduced this year’s staggering 800 applicants to 80. With eight heats across the UK, the remaining 80 contestants will now battle it out to win a place in the semi-finals. If you want to see the future stars of comedy in action, then head down to Cardiff’s heat at The Glee Club on Tues 18 September. Compered by Ellis James, the night will not only include live stand-up from the UK’s finest new comedy contestants, but also renowned comedian Lloyd Langford will be the evening’s special guest judge.

BBC Radio 2 New Comedy Award 2012, Cardiff heat, Sept 18th 2012. Tickets: £7. Info: http://bbc.in/nca-tickets
